It's no secret that chalkboards are all the craze right now. So when asked to make the invites for my best friends baby shower a while back, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. However, never messing around with the chalkboard space, I just wasn't confident I could execute. After being on the internet for a couple minutes I realized, what was I worried about? Thanks to google, almost anything is possible :) I must say I am pretty dang happy with how these turned out...and they were extremely simple to make. I didn't have to actually do any crazy chalk board lettering like I originally thought :)
To make a long story short, I just placed my fonts and images on top of a free chalkboard background. Then changed the opacity a little to tone the hue down some so it would blend a bit with the background.
I downloaded a free chalkboard background from Foolish Fire and the buggy and bow images from free clip art sites and changed the colors to pink
I downloaded the following free fonts in addition to using a standard font, american typewriter condensed:
-Handy George (this is the striped font, love it!)
-Matilde (this is used for the word "shower")
