happy campers

This past weekend we went on our first family camping trip and it was a huge success! Okay I'll be honest, it may have been more along the lines of "glamping" since we had a teepee and a super cute cabin. But the best part was that you had all the outdoor camping activities and wilderness to enjoy without having to pitch a tent and remember to bring way too many things. Plus we just potty trained our son, so having a toilet easily accessible was a must. This camp ground was located in Ventura and was called KOA ranch. Campers had their choice of pitching a tent, renting a teepee and/or cabin or bringing in their own rv.

The days were filled with outdoor fun and the evenings with flashlight hikes, campfires, smores and even an option to watch frozen under the stars on a big screen. Pure. simple. fun.

The kids loved the little playground and even the rocket ship (that was falling a part) in the background.

Our cute cabin porch...

Of course daddy brought a soccer ball...he never leaves home without one :)

I was seriously obsessed and very impressed with the teepee. Perfect for pics too!

ring-a-round the rosie, a pocket full of posies...

ashes ashes we all fall down!

Our family and our two adorable nephews :)

They even had zip-lining! This is my sister...

and little peanut in the morning, who woke up a happy camper...
